A good Republican friend told me when I proposed blogging about the correlation between Jason’s crash and him being printed on the ballot as a presidential elector as a nothing burger.

I am starting to think more and more that I may be on to something.

I still believe, and as the clock ticks, that we will not see an accident report until after the election.

I also still believe that since early voting has already started and the ballots are printed, that this all about appearance.

How can you drop a case or indict a presidential elector only a few weeks away from a presidential election? Well you can, they can even replace him. But that wouldn’t look good? Would it?

While the governor and some on the legislature have no desire to mandate mask wearing, they seem to be putting an awfully large mask over this investigation.

Just when you see state officials do something corrupt, they always out do themselves, and this one is a WHOPPER.

  1. Illegal gambling, DUI, speeding tickets, insider trading, boot camp/Plankington deaths, a manslaughter conviction, legislator goes to the pen, contempt of court citations, more speeding tickets, GEAR UP, EB5, extracurricular with interns, barefoot and drunk legislators, and now this on Highway 14. Will the Republicans ever be ashamed? Will the people of South Dakota ever hold them accountable? #42Years&Counting

  2. According to veteran Lawrence County State’s Attorney John Fitzgerald who ran against Ravnsborg in the Republican primary, “The circuit court also has the ability to appoint a special prosecutor. State v. Basham 170 N.W.2d 238 SD 1969.” Again, John Fitzgerald, “ There is nothing to investigate here. The Taurus was over the fog line and hit Mr. Boever who was walking on the shoulder. Mr. Boever’s body was thrown almost immediately up and over the car after going through the windshield. Brakes were applied for a distance of almost two hundred feet which will show approximately 70-80 miles per hour and the body was not found until the next day. The Attorney General says he did not see what he hit. So crossing the fog line, exceeding speed, eyes not on the road-what is there to investigate? There is a pedestrian crash test video on youtube created by Texas A&M which shows a Ford Taurus at 70 mph impacting a crash test figure. I think it explains a lot as to why Mr. Boever was not found until the next day.”

This episode makes Bendagate seem normal. The fix is in. That Republican incel AG Jason Ravnsborg could knowingly kill Joe Boever with his car then go home, go to bed then drive back to the scene of the crime and find his body without remorse is incomprehensible. That a grand jury hasn’t been seated in Ravnsborg’s manslaughter case is simply more evidence of the SDGOP’s culture of corruption. Expect him to be exonerated and if either cannabis measure passes he’ll immediately sue to have them struck down in court.

  3. That does it. It’s possible for me register as republican yet remain part of the resistance. Then, I’ll get to vote against everything on the ballot that’s coercion. Becoming republican makes it so I always pass GO and collect $200 to donate to democratic campaigns. Democrat makes you an innocent convict but Republican forgives you for murder.

  4. “‘We have no bananas to….. ‘” ….. “(Gee, at least in a banana republic a guy gets some bananas… )”

  5. Still a great place to live despite all the Sky is falling BS from you 🤡 in this circle jerk ya got going here!

  6. Oh, the sky is not falling (Well, unless you, or a family member, is suffering or died from COVID, while our governor runs around battleground states.), the sun still shines in banana republics, that’s why the bananas grow.

  7. It’s easy. Presidential electors are really necessarily anything special. Most states don’t even list them on the ballot.

Your friend is right. The slow release of the accident report has nothing to do with him being an elector. It is strange that nothing new (or old) has come out over the past three weeks. You seem to be the only one covering it.

  8. Obviously, that should say “Presidential electors aren’t really necessarily anything special.”

Let me reiterate my point. Your angle on him being an elector is way off. But there is something to be said about the state not releasing any information related to the crash.

Don’t wander the path of Laura Hubbel with electoral conspiracies. But continue to ask why nothing has been released.

  9. Thank you for keeping this in the news. It’s too bad our other news sources don’t have the guts to follow suit. Makes me wonder if the other news organizations are really about informing the public or merely Noem puppets. I must say I am surprised we haven’t heard anything more from the cousin. I am beginning to wonder if they’ve been bribed with dirty $. This story makes me sick. Why can’t more news organizations as well as our Government be so honest and candid??!

  10. Yes, I would agree. A “nerve” has been touched. The copy cats, or cat, is back. #QuotationsAnyone?

  11. Touched a nerve, lol….just trying to put a little common sense into your lives….you guys desperately need some common sense.

  12. FYI – “Common sense” =/= Good sense. It is sinply “common”, ordinary, mediocre, typical, ordinary, plain and simple.
