I actually took this picture a week ago and found it on my desktop today. There is this low spot by my house in the road, it has been there ever since I have lived in the neighborhood for almost 20 years. I think it has been torn up and fixed ONE time, but it has been filled in several different ways over the years, here is the latest attempt. I am not sure if this was a serious attempt to fix it or if the pothole crew has been taken over by a group of abstract sculptors.
Did you notice the paranormal shadow figure at bottom left? Call Ghostbusters. Green slime could fix the pothole.
Art truly is in the eye of the beholder. Clearly this is an extension of the DTSF Sculpture Walk. An abstract creation of the Street Maint Dept (despite the claims of friends that PTH is waging a war on the arts).
Or is this just more electioneering by an incumbent Mayor?
I’ll say this – if this is an act of pandering to the artists in the City, his Leadership Teams are really covering all the bases.
Will the Artist’s Guild endorse PTH?
Maybe it is a trap you will fall into?
It’s a blackhole in more ways than one. AND, it’s so gigantic inside, when it opens in the winter, that it has its own gift shop, or what some now call a “retail opportunity”.
