This is the 2nd Innovation Director that the mayor has appointed that has quit. The council was informed on June 30 that he ‘resigned’. Chief of Staff and part-time mayor, Erica Beck will be the interim director.

I find this ironic since just 2 weeks ago I reminded the public at a council meeting all the directors that have quit working for this mayor, you know, the guy ‘building a team’.

I have no idea why he quit, and to tell you the truth, I don’t care. I can’t give you one single bullet point of what he did while being in the position.

  1. Not just anyone can survive in a “Leadership Team”. đŸ˜‰

  2. At least something’s happening at city hall. It’s very suspicious how people come and go. It’s like a dating site. Everything sounds good but when it’s time to react you get Ghosted.

  3. So what, The mayor does a decent job on his own. The City is in great hands. However, having a constant rotation of directors is not a bad thing, it does restrict government to a part time based institution. There just happens to be more money in the private sector, and you sometimes have to take opportunities.

  4. MLZ,
There is nothing part-time about the compensation for City Directors.
Churning a series of employees through a positiin … of any compensation level … with nothing substantial to show the result of the series of employment decisions is pretty damned expensive.
Tell me, what did the City and the land-holding, taxpaying property owners get for employing Liquor Cart Boy?
