Do you know what the Hebrew word ‘Tzadik’ means?
Tzadik (Hebrew: ??????? ?add?q[tsa?dik], “righteous [one]”; also zadik or sadiq; pl. tzadikim[tsadi?kim] ??????? ?ad?q?m) is a title in Judaism given to people considered righteous, such as biblical figures and later spiritual masters.
Interesting that a slumlord would name his properties righteous.
As you can see from the pictures below of just a couple of their properties, they have serious code violations.
Instead of the city coddling this person and trying to protect his investment, the city’s job, and it’s city manager, the mayor, need to have code enforcement rain hail on these properties. Most should be condemned and the conditions his PAYING renters are forced to live in are criminal.
This isn’t FREE housing, they are paying for it, and residents of this city have the right to safe, clean and affordable housing. I actually think criminal charges could be filed against this person.
Would you pay $700 a month to live in these places? Heck, if you BUY a condo at the Steel District, the monthly HOA fee is around $800 a month (which I would assume is for security and building maintenance?)
My point is that most of the people who live in these places are paying rent and working and they needed to be treated better by the city’s code enforcement office.
I heard they are changing the name of this particular complex to ‘Plywood and Needles Estates’ 🙁

What did man do before plywood? I guess he was just asked to walk the plank. Plywood is merely the gluing together of some thinner pieces of plywood, however, to make some thicker plywood. Now, that sounds somewhat redundant, but given the thickness of the situation at hand, such conjuring-up helps to construct or block-out something else, I guess. And, I see the landlord is from Miami. Plywood is the number one defense against a hurricane. You would think it might be some planks, but apparently some 1/2 inch plywood does the trick. It’s amazing how something so small can be so big. And, speaking of wood, does anyone remember Plywood Minnesota? It was owned by Senator Rudy Boschwitz. He was a two-termer from Minnesota. They have a lot of wood in Minnesota and apparently plywood, too. Plywood is the Duck Tape of wood. It comes in quite handy at times. It’s better than planks, because it’s one big sheet without any lines in-between, which could leak. I like plywood. It gives good coverage. It covers things up. It protects things. It might even be useful with a derecho or haboob, too. Well, assuming the sirens are working, but that’s an issue for another day. Everyone should have some plywood lying around. You never know when you will need it, so you can cover something up…. Oh, but I’m not alleging anything here though. 🙂

How much for deposit ?
The real problem is the city has no corrective action manner. They show up expecting landlords to fear them. Instead, they laugh out loud. The city loses in court because of the unconstitutional charter. There’s a citation process with fines. The system is duplicate tickets with higher fines. Repeated action is double jeopardy that negates the original infraction because first notice was not pursued to a conclusion. Without the court, there’s no lien on property or collection.
The city says they won the lot line home at McKennon Park. Truth is that the historical society won a private civil lawsuit. The city claims winning about the unfinished mansion. Truth is they backed off when they were threatened with a civil rights lawsuit. Is anyone aware of a case the city won? Are there any cases where the city is/was plaintiff? Are taxes a mafia style protection scheme?
