So I get my hair cut at Southway Barbers on Minnesota Avenue, in fact, Mr. Specht has only cut my hair a few times. He took over the business from a lady who was my barber for almost 30 years. Micheal is a good barber, could be faster, but he likes to talk, and I enjoy our convos.

So I am sitting there as normal and all of sudden Don from Stormland TV shows up and asked if I wanted to get interviewed, and I was like, OK.

Like I said in the interview, it is ridiculous for the state to require Mr. Specht to have a a shampoo sink when he doesn’t shampoo hair. Give him the exemption. I have already reached out to a lawmaker about it, and so has Mr. Specht.

I still think it is comical they can deny a barbershop a license because he doesn’t have a service he DOESN’T provide. It would be like asking an ice cream shop to put in a overhead ventilation hood.

Finally, Dandy Don got a news topic that he can add expert testimony to!

It was funny, because Don didn’t recognize me (I’m tiny now apparently, according to one of my friends.) And before they interview you, you have to spell your name on camera. You should have seen his face. LOL.

But fill me in on the expert testimony, not sure I understand?

Also, loved the punk rock girl as his camera person.

I’m surprised Don actually did the interview. Usually, they just send the person with the camera and he ghostwrites it from the newsroom. He must be sucking up for free haircuts down the road.

BTW, was that your red Trump hat on the countertop? 😉

Just a little joke about his always perfect hair…and the lack of hard hitting news he (or anyone else at KELO) puts together.

Ridiculous! Someone who’s cut hair for 30 years is an expert more so than a teacher. Not having a certain sink, REALLY. The cosmetology people at the state have more ego than the Sioux Falls Parks Director. Destroying a small business deserves a special hearing with reprimand consequences. It would seem the inspector was seeking a protection money payment or free haircut.
