The sad part is that they don’t care and are on a mission from God;
- By a 36%-58% margin, voters oppose “a school voucher program, also known as education savings accounts, where the state gives parents tax dollars that pay for their student to attend a private school or be homeschooled rather than a public school.”
- This opposition includes parents of public school students (21% of the electorate), who oppose the proposal by a 33%-58% margin.
When I talk to parents that home school or send to private school (Chritian) they are opposed to them also. They understand that it is a CHOICE to send their kids to whatever school they want to and enjoy that freedom. They feel that public funding should only be for public schools and this is a slippery slope. I would agree. Of course the legislature claims public schools are ‘indoctrinating’ students. Which I found laughable since public school kids are not forced into Mass during the school day. Let’s talk indoctrination. This will likely pass with the 10 Commandments, and once again the SD State Legislature which is 90% right wing nutzos, didn’t listen to the voters just the Bible stuck up their arsses.
But do you think our current governor, who never went to college and graduated from a high school named, Sunshine Bible Academy, will sign the voucher bill?
At least Clint Roberts had one year at Black Hills State College (BHSC), or what we used to call: Basic High School Continued.
Roberts, however, was the once ‘Marlboro Man’ and was in a Schlitz beer commercial during the ’75 Super Bowl*, while Rhoden has a Lincolnian quality about him. But Lincoln was self-taught and became a lawyer, a congressman, and a president, while Rhoden became a maker of branding irons**…. OH, and what is it that they say about selling horse whips in the 21st Century?

“Say, what is it with this cowboy theme anyways?”….. ( ….. “No wonder the rest of the state hates Sioux Falls”….
)
We went from a cowgirl to a cowboy, but it’s the same hat, while the rest of us are preparing for the blue tarp.
“Oh, and say, don’t forget that Thune graduated from the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, too, that’s where he got his bachelor’s”…. ( …. “….and somehow Betty Page went to BIOLA, too”…
…… ( …. “Actually, Betty Page and some Schlitz sounds like a good time”…. #WillisWhatYouTalkinBoutABrandingIron? )) …..
The proper way to ‘assess’ the over-all opinion of our “State” is to understand the people in each of the 66 Counties (689 precincts). I can guarantee you, a large portion of our State do in fact support public vouchers for education. The vouchers are going to be given to each American Citizen of this State that submits a property tax return, allowing them to exempt a specific dollar amount equal to their investment into their child’s education. I have spoken to 11 people, each from 11 different counties, and rest assured, this has total support of the people.
i don’t have kids, how do I get my voucher?
Mike doesn’t believe in states’ rights, rather he believes in county rights, but why stop there? Why even stop at the precinct level? But if you continue to break down the piece of paper by tearing it into two, be careful because eventually, it will come down to the splitting of the atom, and then you really will have a mess on your hands. #TheUltimateCivilWar
Mike most likely spoke to people from counties like Harding, whose county seat, Buffalo, has a population of 346 people, or Jones County or Hyde.
Just think, if Mike had his way, both Harding and Minnehaha counties would have only two senators in the State Senate.
( and Woodstock adds: “Man, I think it would be fun to be the one and only Dusty from Harding, huh?”… )
Interesting, please do not speak for me, keep in mind, the “State” is the sovereign name giving to “The People of the 66 Counties” – Each county effectively is independent groups of people, each able to constitutionally control, plan, zone, and manage the activity on their section of land. Under each county, the people subdivide themselves into Townships (there are something like 20-22 in Minnehaha), to each have their own Township Board, Clerk, Treasurer, and Secretary. In each County, the people elect a County Commission, District Attorney, Treasurer, Sheriff, Coroner, Register of Deeds Clerk, Auditor to whom ‘at-large” represents all townships across the county. The people of each county are further divided into two factions – Republican or Democrat. Each set of voters further elect a Precinct Committee Man and Woman as per each precinct to who represent the voters in Central Committee Meetings, to whom work together to discuss statewide affairs all of which lead to statewide initiatives, resolutions, and candidates for the Statewide At-Large Officials – Governor, Lt. Governor, Auditor, Treasurer, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Public School, Land, and Utilities Commissioners. Those “officials” are then tasked with managing the Constitutional Offices representing the “66 Counties At-Large” equally.
The Citizens/voters work through their citizen-led Legislature to adopt those initiatives and resolutions into law, to which actively govern over the “Statewide Offices” to which the COUNTIES therefore act as Administrative Agencies thus managing the public health, safety, and welfare of the people of each of the 66 counties.
It is not rocket science…
mike spoke to 11 people who supported it. i’d say that’s a pretty good sample size.
But Mike, where does the “State Militia” fit into all of this? AND, did Kristi properly hand over the codes for the “State Militia” “Football” brief case before Larry took over, so he could potentially activate them, if needed?
( and Woodstock adds: “But if it’s not ‘rocket science,’ then why Musk’s interest in it all?”….. “Oh, and it’s like a Beatles song…. If you read her resignation letter to him backwards, Noem has the code, or codes, embedded in that letter”….
…..)
