I wonder how much they actually went into the background of committee members. For instance, did they google the names to see what showed up? Who actually picked the members?
I wonder how much the chosen ones make per annual salary, and are they going to “make anything” being chosen salesfolk for this venture? Go, oh great chosen ones, seek the Holy Grial of coliseums!!!!
You don’t have to be Joe Sixpack to have a valid opinion. I’d actually prefer if the people making up the committee were somehow involved in the construction industry. At least they’d know what they’re talking about. It would also be nice to have an urban planner or two on the panel.
What irks me about it all is that there have been studies already done that showed where the new facility should go and what size it should be. We didn’t need Dykehouse to hijack the process and point it in the wrong direction, and we certainly don’t need a bunch of groupthinkers backing him up.
