It seems SD conservatives are so scared of losing power in Pierre in 2009 they’ll pretend to be anything to get there. Beware the sheep’s clothing. You are either a Republican, Democrat or Independent. Don’t make the rest of us Independent’s look bad by muddying our waters. I’m an independent because I think both parties stink. So if you are a Republican, run as a Republican and leave us independents out of it, you are not welcome in our PARTY.

I know independent isn’t a party, and that’s kind of my point. If you act a Republican, vote like a Republican and look like a Republican, you are a Republican, not an indy. It seems like when a Republican f’cks up, they go run as an indy in our state, like no one would notice. Madigan tried to pull that, he got a whopping 16% of the vote. I hope Dempster and Elli lose, and lose big.
Didn’t even get a congratulatory call from Madigan. Imagine that! I am still running a grass roots democratic campaign and welcome the indy’s flexibility and independence.
Congrats Martha. I figured you would get a majority of the vote, but was really shocked you got 56%. Just makes you look better in the general. Probably doesn’t hurt you have a fiery little whipper-snapper working your campaign.
Mandy is the best. I can’t say enough great things about her. She is a bright and rising star and she let her light shine on my campaign.
