Code Enforcement

Huether’s YOUTH

From the AL;

Historic area’s sidewalk brigade will scout smooth path to fitness

They will pick up litter as they go as part of the neighborhood’s almost annual spring cleanup. But they will have a new purpose this year to check sidewalks for bumps, cracks, debris and other hazards and then report the results to City Hall.
I wonder if they will get special armbands? So now he has volunteer kids turning people in for code enforcement issues. Here’s an idea, change city ordinance so the city is responsible for fixing THEIR property instead of the adjoining property owner. WE’RE in great financial shape, according to MMM. Heil Huether!

Sign the Petition! A RECALL on Shape Places zoning ordinance.

SAVE OUR NEIGHBORHOOD PETITION

Thanks again to those who gave their time Thursday night to gather as a neighborhood and discuss the next steps in our collective efforts to keep our neighborhood safe.

As usual, there was a lot of dialogue and we are so fortunate to have dozens of knowledgeable, talented and engaged residents committed to maintaining a high quality of life for our families.

The consensus was to proceed with a petition for a referendum of Shapes Places – the city’s new zoning ordinance passed last month.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

This means we are trying to recall the Shapes Places zoning ordinance that was adopted on March 19, 2013.

WHAT DOES THIS REQUIRE?

First and foremost, signatures! We need to gather 5,300 signatures by April 19.  In order to obtain the 5,300 signatures in this short period of time WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

The city looks at violating constitutional property rights as ‘Community Service’

And if that part didn’t make you die laughing, consider the first bullet point. Turning your neighbors into narcs. I wonder if they will be handing out free armbands for their ‘neighborhood volunteer code enforcement agents’

They seem to be a bit confused. Community service are things like snow removal, police protection, street repair, etc., etc. Harassing citizens because you don’t like the way their flower pots look and fining them isn’t exactly ‘community service’.

What planet are these people from? Geesh!

Who the heck is the SF Trailer Patrol?

A South DaCola foot soldier sent this to me:

This e-mail was forwarded to me just now. My brother’s customer received this yesterday and the offending trailer went home this morning.  This trailer license was traced to —‘s company. Someone with DMV access?

Hello,

I was just wondering if your are aware that a trailer registered to your company has been sitting in a residential driveway on ——-th St. in Sioux Falls, SD for over a month now? Do you not own any commercial property that it can be stored on instead of it being an eyesore to this neighborhood?

Is someone with the city’s code enforcement office acting outside of work on their own, and using a fake name? I’m just curious, not speculating – who has access to DMV records besides government employees? Can I do a search of a license plates online myself?
