Herseth-Sandlin

What did I tell you about Noem’s money tree?

Noem’s biggest supporter? (Ray Beldner “How Mao” Sewn U.S. currency, 2002)

It seems the rumors are true, as South DaCola predicted;

WASHINGTON – Republican Kristi Noem’s campaign reported raising more than $1.1 million from July through September, twice the amount incumbent Democratic Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth Sandlin collected.

Noem, a Castlewood rancher and state legislator, also leads Herseth Sandlin in cash on hand, with almost $777,000 compared to about $500,000 for the Democrat, according to figures released by each campaign Monday.

And who planted Snooki’s money tree. Hmmmmm.

The campaign finance reports, which detail contributions and expenditures, are not officially due until midnight Friday. Both campaigns declined to release the full reports until later in the week.

Can’t wait to see that cat run out of the bag. But here is a sneak peak;

The race already has attracted plenty of outside money.

The American Future Fund, a conservative group, and the National Republican Congressional Committee have combined to spend more than $700,000 on television ads and other activities against Herseth Sandlin since August, according to the Federal Election Commission.

The big national story circulating (that our local press seems to ignore) is that the RNC and other national conservative groups have been taking millions from Chinese corporate interests, the very people who take American jobs and commerce.

I guess Snooki better get a new talking point;

“I’ve kept my eye on our economy, on our future and on our values,” Herseth Sandlin said. “I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get the sense that perhaps Kristi Noem is moving to San Francisco to run against Nancy Pelosi. I’m running for Congress here in South Dakota, and my record reflects that I do what’s right for South Dakota.”

Snooki couldn’t handle San Fran. Residents mostly ride bicycles and public transit.
