Remember when Thune was running against Daschle in which he defeated him. He consistently said that Daschle was ignoring his state after he became Majority Leader. Ironically Thune has been ignoring us his entire time in the Senate, oh, and Marion to.

Graybeards: The name of Tom Daschle has been floated, largely because he still carries enormous respect and clout inside Washington. And don’t forget that Daschle still has deep ties to Obama, dating back to the days when he was the first powerful national Democrat to really push Obama to run for president in the first place.
But many top Democrats are privately shooting down the prospect of Daschle becoming chief of staff, especially given the fact that his nomination to be secretary of health and human services crashed and burned over tax issues that would have made Senate confirmation bumpy if not impossible.
I think Valerie Jarrett will get the spot. Often described as one of Obama’s ‘best friends’.

Not sure if this is an endorsement or not, but it cost Mike about $2,250. and it is certainly partisan. While I have a great deal of respect for Daschle and I despise the policies of John Thune, I still blame Daschle for being instrumental in destroying the values of the Democratic party of diplomacy. Daschle is the reason I am no longer a Democrat. While I consider myself a fiscal conservative, I also am a person that believes that diplomacy should always come before war. And when Daschle authorized GW to go to war with Iraq I went to the courthouse and changed my registration to Independent almost the next day.
You can think what you want about political endorsements from famous politicians, but I am voting for the guy that is endorsed by the people.
