Got a message for the council? Take a number, it may be awhile

Surprise, Surprise. Neither the mayor or the ghost of Jodi Schwan showed up to this meeting to explain how a message takes two months to get from the mayor’s office to the city council. I’ll give the Pavilion credit on this, at least they came to the meeting and took responsibility for the mistake, even though the Chair of the Trustees, Mrs. Pay got her shorts in a bunch over the Pavilion’s budget/and money allocations in the Gargoyle Leader. Well Mrs. Pay, maybe there would’nt be all this mis-information out there if the Pavilion wasn’t so damn secretive about everything. When you are open and honest from the start, you don’t have to defend yourself in the future. And as for Pat Costello saying holding off on the project will only hurt the taxpayers due to inflation, give me a break! THIS PROJECT IS TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE TO BEGIN WITH, AND UNNEEDED. Replace individual windows as needed, and hire a couple of college students over the summer to caulk the other ones. This council is unbelievable. At least Kermit and Kevin said something, while De mumbled and stammered around the issue.

Dizzney in a Tizzney

Trust me, I don’t know a damn thing about Miley Cyrus. I’m not the parent of a ‘tween’ and to be honest with you, I think her dad is a D-Bag. I have never liked modern country (I’m a honky-tonker) and I despise Dizzney, and this incident further cements my beliefs about the evil empire. I think if Miley was just some actor off a show like “Saved by the Bell” no one would care. I mean, seriously? Her parents were at the photo shoot, if they thought there was something wrong with her ‘showing her back’ don’t you think they would have said something then? I wonder what sleezeball PR person at Dizzney wrote the ‘I’m embarrassed’ email for Miley? This was about protecting the image of their asset. That is right, that is all Miley Cyrus is, one of the biggest cash cows of Dizzney (Aproximately earning them 65 million in sales last year). This wasn’t about satin sheets and bare backs, this was about money.

And you wonder why Ed Roth drew Rat Fink?

The race card may sink the ship

John Edwards made it very clear before the Iowa primaries, “Who are the Democrats going to put up against a white, male Republican? I think the choice is clear.” Edwards was of course saying that eventually down the road, the race and gender cards would come out and jepardize a Democratic candidate. Clinton has been lucky lately, but Mr. Obama has not. I have always had an inkling that this may take down his campaign. Prejudice runs deep in America and the media and the right like fueling the fire. Maybe Obama can make a comeback from the Wright controversy, but he better get it in gear, time is running out.

Engineer Kevin and Porky Thune at it again

Kevin from DM & E is crying up a storm again. Unfortunately they did not put the emails online, but they are in the dead tree version. If you can get a hold of one (I suggest reading it for FREE at MacDee’s) the email’s are worth the read. Especially where they call Kevin ‘Stupid’ and John Thune ‘Porky’. Hilarious. Though I think the email’s may be ‘unethical’ I don’t think anything illegal has been done.
