DECEMBER 6, 2007 – The True Meaning of Chri$tma$ – Buy Buy Buy
I was kicking it old skool on this one. There is a reason why I don’t hand draw many toons, it is a pain in the arse. First I have to sketch the idea, then I have to trace it with a marker, then I have to watercolor it, then I have to blow on the drawing (to dry it), then I have to scan it, then I have to clean it up in Photoshop, then I have to piece it together, then I have to lay it out and put in type then it’s back to Photoshop . . . I’m exhausted.
On the Brotherhood 2.0 show yesterday, John said “Why does Santa look a lot like Uncle Sam? I think they are the same person.” So that’s how I came up with this one.

I did a record 14 Cartoons this week (actually it may be 15, I have another one written that I have to draw yet). Thank goodness I don’t have to follow deadlines, not sure if I could manage . . . . I might have to start tracing Pulitzer prize winning cartoonists . . .
